Product Licensing and Metrics

Write a Windows desktop system to allow Thompson RIA to collect information about a client and check for license compliance.

    • Architected the product licensing and metrics-collection system in UML (Visio 2003), translating gathered requirements into Use Case and State Diagram artifacts.
    • Built a Licensing System desktop application in C++ (Visual C++, MFC) backed by SQL Server/T-SQL via ADO.
    • Developed a Customer Metrics system in C++ (MFC) with ADO data access.
    • Integrated the new metrics platform with the core Licensing System via COM and XML.
    • Built a C++ (Visual C++) utility to distribute new license keys.
