Design and develop back end web systems for an online children's service

    • Architected the back-office and server-side systems in UML/Rational Rose, producing functional design documents.
    • Created the back-end component project schedule in Microsoft Project.
    • Led a developer team building the back-end software from the UML design.
    • Extended Microsoft Proxy Server into a reverse proxy via a C++ (MFC) ISAPI filter, controlling web access against SQL Server/T-SQL.
    • Designed and built a C++ web spider to crawl sites for content and flag objectionable language.
    • Built a C++ (MFC, SOAP) web service exchanging subscriber data between client and server in an n-tier SOA environment.
    • Deployed Microsoft Content Management Server (VBScript) to accelerate rollout of subscriber maintenance pages and enforce consistent look-and-feel.
    • Built a BizTalk orchestration linking DBO to suppliers, extracting transactions from SQL Server/T-SQL and generating EDI and XML feeds to automate product ordering and shipping.
    • Authored custom XSLT to transform XML into supplier data feeds.
    • Implemented C++ COM business-logic objects for user lookup, validation, and usage retrieval.
