New York Lottery

Design and write Class 2 gaming systems for Windows XP and Windows CE and Windows desktop maintenance programs.

    • Designed and built a Session Bingo game in C++ on Windows CE, modeled with UML.
    • Architected the gaming communications and control system on Windows CE in C++.
    • Built the New York Lottery desktop management console in C# (.NET, Windows Forms) within an n-tier SOA architecture.
    • Developed Windows Forms management-terminal components in C# (.NET) with SQL Server/T-SQL access via ADO.NET.
    • Leveraged COM+ connection pooling to improve scalability and run multiple control versions concurrently.
    • Built a multithreaded middleware layer in C# (.NET Remoting) connecting the game console to the accounting system.
    • Ported the Session Bingo game to the Acer Tablet PC (Windows XP Embedded, C#, .NET 1.0) and delivered a Windows CE build on the .NET Compact Framework.
    • Developed a utility to auto-update software and offload logs and performance data over infrared or USB.
    • Extended the Active Directory schema with new user attributes for the management console in C#.
    • Migrated a C++ communications library to C#.
    • Ported C++ code to .NET using Managed Extensions for C++.
    • Provided production support for the C# (.NET) Management Terminal Console.
